... A mouse being chased by a cat, came across a cow. The mouse pleaded with the cow could he please hide him so the cow pooped on the mouse. The mouse was almost completely hidden except for his little tail peeking out. The cat saw the mouses tail and pulled and pulled until the mouse was free of the poop. The moral of the story was, not everyone who ***** on you, means all bad, and not everyone who pulls you out of the ****, means all good". Onwards to Munich tomorrow. Xoxo A & ...

We had a lovely dinner last night at our hotel restaurant. I had baked bass, Eldon had mushroom risotto, and we also had a side salad and a side of green beans. We were in Italy so it didn't cost us an arm and a leg.

We had a lovely buffet breakfast this morning as well. Eldon and I both wonder how these places can afford to stay open and serve such nice meals. I don't think there were more than 3 couples staying here last night.

... first mile was uphill all the way and we finally got to a saddle between two mountains, which is essentially a meadow. We looked for deer or Ibex but didn't see any. We saw a lot of scat so we knew they were around but didn't see any. We took a wrong turn and finally asked some people hiking if we were on our way to Parking lot 1. They said no, it was back the other way. So we sat at a sweet little bridge over ...

... effective mine was. We think he wore his 3 times. He decided it just might have to be a good 'golf' hat. It was wonderful to travel The Glacier Express with such a wonderful guide. He told me when the good photo opportunities were coming up and a lot about so many areas. The scenery was magnificent and so changeable. I think it's best that I just post the photos. Lunch was lovely on the train. And, although it was overcast to start with, it cleared ...

A Grumpy Old Man....and some great scenery

... Rather a sleepless night as the fridge refused to fire on
gas (we took a no-electric option, to keep costs down, as the 0.7euros per
KW-hr is iniquitous). We assume that this is either due to a. Altitude (we are
1,822m) or b. outside temperature (we are around 8 Deg C in the evening, falling
to 4 Deg C during the night). Had to shut the fridge down completely and then
ask for a power connection at 8am. Got the fridge to fire on LPG ...
