We went to the top, called the Piz Gloria which had an observation deck, a rotating restaurant and a James Bond exhibit...they filmed the James Bond movie from 1969 in this area...something about Her Majesty's ????, had the James Bond guy that only made one movie in it.
There was about 6 inches of snow on the observation ...
... thought that the mountains in Idaho/Montana are some of the most beautiful mountains anywhere, but we all four agree, these are spectacular, they actually are so beautiful that they can bring a person to tears! Actually, Don, not our Don but the other Don in the group sang "How great thou art" while we were hiking and we all agreed, his presence here is all around!

... no eating out here in Switzerland. Just down the street we saw a sign on one of the few open restaurants that read, "Hamburger and Fries - 18 CHF" (That's about $20!!). We will be budget eating while here. Besides, the same Florida couple comes here every year and they said that compared to Italy and France the food in Switzerland is not anything to write home about.
We have our fingers crossed, so to speak, for an incorrect weather forecast for tomorrow.
Today the Oakhall lessons started from the other side of the valley, heading up into a completely different set of resorts. This meant an earlier start to the day as we had to catch a bus up the valley before we ascended the mountains. The day did not dawn well with low cloud blocking our view of the Mannlichen ridge above Wengen so we knew we were heading into cloud.
