Of course being up high it have us a fabulous view over the city. Coming down into the city, being a Sunday with not many cars around, Bern decided to "do a dodgy" and Mario stopped the coach and we all jumped off the coach for a real quick look at the Wiltern basilica. ... buildings were very old, but were in extremely well kept condition. We were told that the Austrians take great pride in how their dwellings and businesses are kept up, and it was really remarkable how clean the city was. We walked past Mozarts house on the way. Some of the locals still wear the traditional dress, and lederhosen. We had a wurst for lunch at the local farmers market, very tasty. Its hard to find a bad meal anywhere here. ...

... linens in the washer, sweep floors. Thus, when we awoke on our last morning in Munich, we cleaned the tiny studio apartment we were in, packed our bags and headed out for the day. We drove to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, two hours south west of Munich. Garmisch and Partenkirchen were separate cities, each with long histories stretching as far back as the Romans. Nestled at the foot of the alps, they are a natural place for ski resorts and all of the economic spin offs that ...
