Three countries in one day!

... see the ski jump from the 1964 Olympics. The mountains and even further. It was actually quite scary to be up that high. It was amazing to see it from that angle though. After that we then went for a walk along the river and ended up back in the main square where we were going to try some strudel but our eyes quickly turned to the schnapps distilery. Austria is where schnapps comes from and of course they are very famous for it. The liquor is made 40 km away ...

As a nervous flier this wasn't the most comforting of news! However, whilst being dangerous to land at due to the 8000ft mountains and short runway, it is without a doubt the most stunning approach I have ever witnessed! I would recommend visiting Innsbruck just for the incredible view from the plane!

Last post we were heading to Munich but now we are in Tirol, this might seem a bit strange but with our package for the next week wad had to pick our rental up in Munich, about a 4hr detour but considering the car was free it was worth it.

Getting the car we were on the road and tearing our way along the autobahn at a great pace, flying past small towns we were in Austria soon enough and once past Innsbruck new we didn't have far to go.
Arriving at the hotel we were ...
