... a tourist. We found out that he is from Hong Kong and was on his way to Sapporo tonight and then to Hakodate tomorrow. I thought he didn't look Japanese and his English was way too good.

We had a pleasant chat about Japan and where we had been and gave him some advice about going to Hakodate market at 5.30am. He told us about the political unrest in Hong Kong for the past two weeks. He was a photographer and showed me his full frame Nikon camera as well ...

Fell once, and couldn't get out of the snow to put the skis on! In the afternoon we did shorter runs through soft powder until the pain made us stop for the day Hot bath with beer to finish off the ...

We have spent an amazing week at Club Med Sahoro on the island of Hokkaido in Japan. Simon, Sonia and myself (Amanda) have had such fun! On the slopes we have experienced all weathers and conditions from blue skies and sunshine and crisp, crunchy snow to swirling arctic storms and two feet of powder. We have benefited from having excellent lessons from many different instructors, ...
