... and the grace and finesse of Tiny, the elephant... And let's not mention the windage and aerodynamics of a large shipping-container...with the doors open...
Anyway, we found that after the chief-naviguesser searching all our camping-site books, and me checking my camping apps on the ipad, in our target Cremona, there were no camps, so I resorted to good old Google....

... the hike was very steep downhill. (Tomorrow we go up!) We passed plenty of cows and sheep and a few donkeys. No wild life, but the birds were singing to us while we trekked through the forest and many of the cows and sheep jingled their bells as we passed. John and I even had a double bed. Breakfast was a simple affair of home made breads, jam and honey, some cereals and tea, coffee and juice. We made an early start, saying goodbye to Sarah who was heading back to Chamonix. We climbed up to begin with but then ...

Climbing the Col de l'Iseran

Once out of Val D'Isere you start the climb to the Col de l'Iseran. It was a relief to get out of the village and into the open landscape. It's a really beautiful climb along this part of the D902, and the roads are very quiet, just a few Germans on motorbikes and the odd car. We were also passed by about half a dozen Morgans ...
