A strange start

A travel blog entry by nataliegodliman on Apr 28, 2014

... booked the hotel, we were stuck here another day. We spent five hours in Starbucks in the mall. I mean, I really hate to say that, but its the only thing we could have done. Our hotel room was horrible. The town was horrible. The people are less than friendly. What a sad start to Malaysia. We found a supermarket and stupidly cheap wine and drank away the bad feelings of this new country. Totally not what either of us was ...

... Once we got back to the hotel we hailed a taxi and grabbed our bags and we were off again. "To the bus station" we said far to excitedly. We arranged the bus easily and managed to find the correct stand and we were away to the Cameron Highlands. After arriving at 6pm we took a few wrong turns but found our hotel and booked our bus to Penang the next ...

You have the freedom to roll with the punches and really just go with your gut. If you love a place, stay longer. Hate it? Bad weather? Leave! It's been a different travel experience than what either of us are accustomed to, but it's been a good change. Here's hoping that we continue to have good luck and meet more amazing people in the rest of our ...

... going back to get some photos. BOH tea plantations. We drove down the hill from Gunung Brinchang and passed hills lined with tea plants, basically that picture perfect views we wanted the day before from the hill. So we started our 2.5km walk up to Kea Farm, which was no problem. It's all up hill and not a lot to look at on the way, just several strawberry farms and the typical shops they have. As we reached Kea Farm, there's a bee farm at the bottom of the road. We didn't go in to ...
