So after our awful day travelling we slept in until midday and thought best to have a lazy day at the beach. We headed to mission beach, had some lunch, and bought a ball to mess around with at the beach! Pretty good waves and colder waters than expected! In the evening we headed to a nearby shopping centre, had some food and then went for a couple of drinks to pass the evening before retiring as we were still pretty knackered from the weekend and ...

... 1030pm and we headed for the boarder. Soon as I heard gnarly was coming I knew it was gonna be an interesting night. He's nick name is gnarly for a reason. The afternoon was spent at Beth's apartment waiting on the Cox Cable Guy to come and fix her internet issues. He was thorough, but quite a talker. Beth was still at work so we stopped at Gabbinos Pizza on the way home for spagetti dinner. Yum! Leftovers for tomorrow.

A little warmer tonite, but to bed early because tomorrow we are touring wine country.

... than planned, we decided to relax this evening and get our laundry down. Going to watch some tv and chillax.

Tomorrow we are planning on visiting the San Diego Zoo at park opening and tour its many exhibits. Later in the afternoon we will move over to Seaworld. We have been to Seaworld in Orlando a few times, so we don't need a full day there and they are open until 10 p.m. We have to fit both in tomorrow as we are leaving for Anaheim on Saturday morning. ...

... to ever visit the park. We had bought a National Parks annual pass before leaving Colorado Springs.

We had no idea what to expect before arriving at the park, and were even more confused when we drove through a residential neighborhood to get to the visitor's center. The park ranger's were very friendly and helpful. From the visitor's center (which seems to be outside the park proper) we hiked the trail to the ...
