On the Road Again

... the plains of Kansas, Nebraska, and even eastern Colorado, we try not to complain about the trees & rolling hills of eastern Oklahoma & Arkansas, but it's still not terribly exciting. No activities for today, just drove from 1 hotel to the next. We are getting closer to home and starting to think about what needs to be ...

Had a fairly long but uneventful ride to Oklahoma City after saying a sad goodbye to Jim and Suzanne. Passed Carrie Underwood's birthplace (the 2005 winner of American Idol and country singer). They made a wrong turn and we followed. About 20 of us went five miles the wrong way, which wouldn't typically be a big deal, but when the mileage is over 100 for the day, you really don't want to do more than you have to. BUT it was okay because we got to see the sunrise on the ...

... got a flat! After a quick lunch, we received a text from Hannah that she had shredded her tire and needed the spare that sweep is responsible for carrying. We raced on over, got everything squared away there and continued the jaunt into second lunch. About 10 miles later, we ran into Christine again with her 3rd flat of the day. She had such a great attitude about it though, something I'm not sure I could manage myself after such a rough day! After ...
