... Friend Linda and we chose to visit Helen Keller's birthplace. We toured the main house and the smaller structure, where Helen and her teacher, Anne Sullivan, had a classroom. We also saw the pump, where Helen was taught her first word: water. Others chose to tour the music studios, where the Muscle Shoals Blues Sound originated. An amazing array of ...

We left Guntersville Marina this morning after pumping, dumping and filling up with water. Lucky for us, it was another gorgeous day with nary a cloud in sight. While the wind was a small issue as we left the marina, once we locked down Guntersville Lock, the water was like glass and it was smooth cruising most of the day. We were very fortunate in that the chambers at the lock were already filled and the gates open so we did not have to wait at all.
