... launched on April 23. Much to Jens' chagrin we travelled interstate all day Wednesday and arrived at Paducah, Kentucky, that evening, where we set up our tent. We have purchased a new larger instant tent, which pops up quite easily. We have posh sleeping mats, Danish down comforters, and slept comfortably.

... in his floating office and then puttered around the boat. The man cannot sit still. It was cold enough that a big crock pot of steak chili seemed a good idea. And it was. Yummmmmm.

... Park. We ended up going about 74 miles today, far more than we wanted to go. Pumping, dumping and locking down and then cruising for about 8 hours made for a very long day. It was surely a lot further than we wanted to go but unfortunately there are not many good places to drop anchor beyond Decatur, at least until you get to Wheeler Dam.
