Friday was the start of the reunion activities. 25 classmates and spouses from the Class of '63 gathered at the home of Forrest and Jacque Behrens for a day of dining and lots of conversation and stories of the days of old and present. ... it was a peaceful day. We are parked very close to the banks of a forest so it is quite pretty with the fall colors and the beaches just a few yards away. We saw a bobcat slinking through the woods this morning and then an eagle fished by our starboard side. Also a few small ducks and a heron hung out by the boat most of the day. We left Guntersville Marina this morning after pumping, dumping and filling up with water. Lucky for us, it was another gorgeous day with nary a cloud in sight. While the wind was a small issue as we left the marina, once we locked down Guntersville Lock, the water was like glass and it was smooth cruising most of the day. We were very fortunate in that the chambers at the lock were already filled and the gates open so we did not have to wait at all.
