Our family took us to the Sherman Museum. The place told us a lot about the history of Sherman and the Red River Area. Formerly known as the Red River Historical Museum, it had many cultural, historical, and educational exhibits to view.

    ... I owned and shoved them inside the blinds as best as i could. It was a sloppy pain in the ass, but it worked enough to get me to sleep...for about 3 hours until I was woken by police sirens outside my window. Apparently some underage drunk kid plowed a car into another car at the stoplight. We were unable to leave the parking lot for over an hour. Ive never been so happy to leave a state line as I was then....
    Next time, ill take my chances and sleep at the nearest truck ...

    ... camp and headed north to Oklahoma. However, Oklahoma didn't want us - no camp sites were immediately available. So we went back across the state line into Texas. We stumbled upon a beautiful campsite on the Red River. The view across the river lake was spectacular, and there was absolutely no traffic noise within miles. After the sunset, we ate dinner and enjoyed our campfire.
