... well as World Champion Cowboys including Lane Frost (the subject of the movie 8 SECONDS). We didn't know anything about some of these things until I picked up some information here at the campground once we returned. We did know about the Frisco Depot Museum, but it is closed on Sunday. Oh well, maybe next time we're in this area.

... stopped at an Amish store here in OK. Bob thought it was close to here, but I think it is closer to the border in the north-east. Anyway, today we drove to Atoka in search of this particular store. We didn't find it, so we turned around and came back toward Durant. We were in search of a historic fort (Fort Washita) but I couldn't find any directions. We saw a sign for Caddo, "an antique town on the buffalo trail" so we decided to stop. Not much ...

... on 281 without stopping at Natty Flat. If you have never been there, it isn't much, but it is home to the world's largest cedar rocking chair. They also have an eating place which serves some very, very good BBQ brisket (not as good as Brian's, however). So after stretching, emptying and filling up, we were back on the road.

Woke up to pounding rain. There is a hurricane going over us. We had planned to leave today. Rain and wind are so heavy we decided to stay another day. Thank you Mike and Kelly for your hospitality.
