... have met many Latinos and African Americans but no one from Asia or the Middle East. For that matter, few Europeans. A very closed shop!

Political discussion is all over the TV. Donald Trump is now sagging in the polls with Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson closing in on him following the Republican debates. Scary to hear their evangelical talk on topics like ISIS, Iran, Iraq, abortion and the right to bear arms. Still a long way to go before ...

          Cheers to the upgrade

About to watch a "worth-it" short film on the history. We saw an Indian settlement, toured the museum, boarded a replica of a European exploration ship and learned about the lost colony. 5:00pm- we just crossed the Chesapeake and are driving north through the Eastern shore of VA. Sunny and ...

... As we approached Virginia Beach we were buzzed by FA 18's fighter jets overhead! We soon found out we were camped near the Navel Air Station Oceana, the only Jet Base on the East Coast. We were serenaded with their daily training flights - or the sound of freedom! One night we had helicopters (I think) overhead until 1:30am YES in the middle of the night! They seem to be doing circuits for hours & hours. Needless to say we were not thrilled ...
