This scenic overlook on the ridge east of Vantage captures a panoramic view of the sculpture and the Columbia River Gorge. The last time I stopped here was in 2002 at the start of my motorcycle trip around the US. Another tourist, a young retired Navy, said they would fly A1s & F18s through the gorge during training missions about this time of ...

Erin had the Jagerschnitzle. They had a pitcher of dunkles and I had a radler. We we were not able to have dessert we were so full.

When we got back to the hotel, Larry and Erin went straight to bed both feeling exhausted. Derek and I stayed up for a little while.

On the way up to the tunnels there are stunning views of the gorge because we are far enough east that it is getting more arid and there are fewer trees to block the view. The hike was about 2 miles round trip and we stopped to bird watch and take pictures. When we left Mosier we stayed on Old 30 as t is very scenic through this area. We stopped ...

So smoky due to the fires! We just wanted to get some air, finding the fresh stuff just south of the US/Canadian border.

We stopped at a fruit stand in Summerland to get gifts. Stopped at the border to give them all of our tomatoes and green onions. Stopped to convert the car's electronics back to miles from kilometers. Finally stopping at Leavenworth for the ...
