... wheeler probably carrying their gear back to Ruston. Zaxby's is a chicken franchise, making this the chicken _ _ _ _ bowl. There are many of these, apparently, as we saw another one the next day featuring Virginia Tech, also 6-6. Rah.

When Julia left for work, we started our long trek home, which will feature, tomorrow morning, a visit to our second NPS site of the trip: the Cane River Creole National Historic Park in Natchez, Louisiana.

... in 22 months. We did several field puzzle caches--caches which are themselves easy to find, but which then require some clever problem-solving to get into. Since you have to sign the log to claim the find, you have to solve the puzzle. I had heard of this type of cache, but had not encountered any before.

After caching, we went back to David and Michele's house for pizza and Christmas movies. A pleasant day all around.

... our business meeting (still haven't figured out why there is a meeting every month, but then I didn't make the policy). The president drives me crazy by not having an agenda. ... pairs roping (one cowboy ropes the head of a steer and the other ropes the hind legs) and barrel racing (cowgirls on horseback racing around 3 barrels). The barrel racing was good, for the majority of the event a girl of 8 had the fastest time of 14.2 seconds!

They got the children involved by getting about 20 8-12 yr olds to chase after a calf which had a ribbon attached to it's back. The kid who got the ribbon got to win a cash prize! The under ...
