Another sleep in til 8am with Aiden still softly snoring, comfy in his put-you~up, he's been a truely great roomy this weekend, not the expected early rises he's used too or we were lead to expect. Levi came in for his morning check in and see what delightful snacks are on offer in our room, today was blueberry muffin from the grab & go …

... parking lot is full, including two state troopers, so we stop to take a look. We pick up some cheese, mini apple pie, a homemade frozen pizza for dinner and a pound of salami (not knowing how much a pound really was). The prices are really good, so I don't mind one bit that we stocked up in some yummy snacks and dinner. ... Kansas runs only 12 miles......so we drove through to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ian was very happy that it was NOT a dry county !!!!!! So, we drove right through our fifth state and about a third of the way into our sixth. We will be staying until Friday in order to do some sight seeing and resting ...

The Aussie was with us but then we lost him, thinking that he had gone for fuel.

We went to Wezzy's Roadhouse in Hamel for lunch which was interesting.

We all had a fantastic ride today through the cornfields and sheltered tree lined roads. In fact, we were all a bit sad when we had to get onto the motorway to cover some of the inaccessible areas of Route 66.

Once we were back on the ride we stopped at Cuba ...

... the plaques, took photos were all impressed by the modern interpretation which was about 1/2 size of the original, it was then off to the hotel via fuelling the bikes ready for tomorrow.

At the hotel Dave accidentally let slip that it was LJ's birthday and that he had now witnessed 61 earth orbits of the sun. He was bought a hair extension, some rather dapper sunglasses, a card and a birthday cake. The card was signed by ...
