Our home base while in the beautiful town of Sequim WA will be GilGal Oasis RV park. It is a nice park with friendly staff BUT rather tight RV spaces. Pete's rig is within two inches of being against a fence--however--the sky is 'clear' for satellite and they even offer free DSL internet so it ...

Today we made our way 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Port Angeles via ferry across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria. Our day started early, driving from our campgrounds to downtown, find a parking space (ferry parking only, otherwise ticket) purchasing a one-way ticket $17 each for the 8:15 departure. The 1-1/2 hour ride would put us in town at about 10:00am.

... Thanks, Barb and Dennis for recommending this tour.

With taking all morning on the tour, we didn't get to Sequim until 2:30. So, we did a quick set up, and took off to see what we could. First stop was the Dungeness Lighthouse which is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Northwest and is one of the very few that allow families an opportunity to ...

... get back home. Poor guy looked dead on his feet. Unfortunately we missed the 10:00am ferry so we had an hour to wait till the next one.

Once we finally got on the ferry we found a seat and dumped our stuff before finding some food. We got some really nice Teryaki chicken noodles to share. The boat took around 90mins and was a really nice journey between all the little islands.

We arrived safely at Swatz terminal on Vancouver Island ...
