So, you know it's getting real when you start having nightmares about it.

I woke up in the wee hours of this morning with the most god awful camp in my right calf. My first, sensible reaction was, of course, to assume that I'd been shot. The pain was worse than childbirth (or so I can only conclude).

After some considered efforts to alleviate the symptoms (i.e. punching the living daylights out of my leg), I realised that this horrendous pain ...

We're trying not to disturb the other people in the room she is in, hence the "sit quietly" part. What is 42? The answer to life, the universe, and everything obviously, but it is also the number of days until I leave to go see kangaroos, the Sydney opera house, poisonous everything, and a pretty amazing person who I seem to have become fond of over the course of approximately 10 years.
