    ... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos! We then got back on the road since we still had about 2 1/2 hrs ahead of us before our campsite for the night in the Mark Twain state park near Hannibal, ...

    ... And the rules keep on changing: take your shoes off, leave your shoes on, toiletry bags out, toiletry bags in. Mac was stopped by security as he had taken his school pencil bag with him in his backpack and forgot that he had a scissors in the bag.     ... we passed in the air, so to speak)..... We were just in time for a meal at the Jamestown Marina -a floating restaurant/cafe and shop very close to the Golf course..
    The State of Kentucky -almost 50% of its counties do not sell alcohol (referered to as dry counties); so NO ALCOHOL in this County- very busy restaurant (beginning of a weekend with everyone coming to their house boats), but not a beer or wine ...

    Today, we began our last full day away from home. We got another early start so we could see our last two stops of this trip. We left Kansas and headed out towards Missouri. We are 1,300 miles from home and we are not looking forward to this last leg. The ride was pretty uneventful and boring as it was similar to the trip westward as far scenery goes.
