Day 2 - Heat stroke anyone?

... Roger kitty. Most of us know it's not the greatest joy to scoop a litter box but we do it because we love our cats. Poor things had to deal with runny poop on the bed! We are really concerned about him and discussed turning around but there's nothing we can do more than the Germans already are. Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.

After leaving the redwoods we continued to head towards our next night stop in Redding. We ...

I flew out of Sacramento because it is significantly cheaper than flying out of the Redding airport. I am assuming they have to charge more because Redding is so small. The last time I flew into the Redding airport, the only people on the fight were Chantelle, ...

... always good, but the redwoods, eh. They were big. They were tall. Not much else to say. I did see my first wild elk there, though. Splendid animals. Next stop was the Lassen Volcanic Nat. Park, more to my liking. Every mountain within the park's boundary is either a volcano or part of one. Also a number of nice trails in the park. After Mount Lassen erupted in 1915, locals found many ...
