Got up this morning and got dressed in the usual-long sleeves and bear paws (cheap uggs) and Gary in his flannel and jacket. There was sunshine but who knew that it could get so warm that I wish I had sunscreen and shorts? I wore sunglasses all day. The sky was blue with big fluffy white clouds and there was sun all day. We never have learned what happened but as we rounded a gentle curve we suddenly encountered 2 state patrol officers from separate vehicles approaching a sedan in the center divider. The top of the sedan was flattened to ...

... to a nice woman who had moved here only 2 years ago. So it was to McDonalds again for Internet to find accommodation in Redding. Checked in to "Americas Best Value Inn" at Redding. Nice clean room with internet, microwave and fridge. $78. Looks like we go down to Sacramento then across to South Lake Tahoe on highway 20. Will bypass Reno. Still to decide whether we go through Yosemite or down hwy ...
