... to connect to New Orleans in February. Coming from the east you go through St. Paul first. We stuck to the I-94 and drove under the overpasses and through a tunnel, seeing the skyline and bits and pieces of the two cities which are some 10 miles apart but there is really no obvious break between the two (no wonder they merged as one). The signs do indicate population for each: St. Paul being just under 300,000 and Minneapolis just under 400,000. We ...

Last night we stayed at the Porcupine Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI. Had a site right on Lake Superior. Arrived just before it stormed. Lots of people camping in tents and there we were sitting in our motor home nice and dry watching a movie and eating popcorn! Too bad for the rain, we were hoping to see the Northern Lights.

... Seen at least 3 signs that said "Coon Dog Cemetary". Thought that was kind of odd until Del almost hit a Coon Dog in Corinth, MS. Had to stop at the Piggly Wiggly in Alabama. What a genuine treat. Went down the Ricketts Highway in MS. Thought it was kind of odd to name a highway after a disease that you lead the nation in. We both had opportunities to swap our bikes today. Mine for a decked out Caddy. Del's for a trailer house in Memphis. Decided against it on both ...
