We walked around the rotunda & learned a bit about Washington history (I also drilled Cara a bit for it, as she teaches it to 3rd & 4th graders.) They showed me the elementary school where Cara works and we also drove through the shopping areas of Olympia. We tried stopping at the permanent & ...

... to spend the night. We ended up in Spanaway, a small town east of Tacoma. We bought some ready to eat food and had a late supper. The lady at the deli counter said the Seattle-Tacoma section of the interstate is always busy, but the busiest she ever experienced was last weekend when Justin Bieber was giving a concert in Seattle.
