The van and I took a nice ferry ride to the northernmost part and then proceeded to have a really great time. Mount Olympus is like a mini version of Mt. Perhaps the most surprising thing about the day was how little of the Stars And Stripes we'd seen, especially when making a direct comparison with what we'd seen in Canada only three days earlier.

... of to the park. It had to be done at some point so it was a good compromise. Our hope for a better next day was answered and Thursday was the only day without rain for the full next week. When it comes to luck, no doubt we got showered with it in the form of sunshine rather than rain.
