    Our first day on our cross country trip

    OK so this is my first post on this site.
    Here are our stats for today.
    Left Oceanport at 8:45am and arrived in Sandusky, OH at 6:45pm.
    We traveled 545 miles on I-80 and it was a long and hot ride.
    Tomorrow is Chicago which is 250 miles, so an easy ride compared to today.

    8th- 9th July So yesterday we drove out of Niagara Falls, we drove through a small section of Pennsylvania and then entered Ohio, taking the state count this visit to 4. We spent most of the drive driving along the edge of Lake Erie. It is amazing how big it is, you cannot even see the far shore.     On again off again thunderstorms with limited visibility made me tense. Add to that the tunnel I had forgotten about on the Pennsylvania turnpikes made my shoulder muscles tense and sore.
