          ... gone out of service the night before. Will remember to keep cash on hand next time in small towns!

          The exchange rate on currency kept me confused the whole trip; about $13.50 MXN pesos to the $1.00 USD. I would always be a bit surprised when our bill for dinner would arrive and it would be $500! That would be about $37 USD. Kept me on my toes.

          After another shopping trip and a stop off for some sandwiches we left the cities behind and stayed the night at a campground next to the mojave desert. On the way there we drove through Joshua Tree National Park which has highly unusual trees. The terrain was so different to what I was used to, very cool.
