... to Denver to Calgary. It was quite the trip, but so worth it once I got back. I cried when I landed in Denver; I just realized that my trip was actually over, but I got really excited once I landed in Calgary. It was soo cold though! I started shivering, but have been loving the weather now. It was awesome to see my family and friends; and also to surprise them with coming home early.

Many people have asked if we know this orphanage, the directors or anyone else down there. No, we don't. How did we hear of this orphanage? Google! It's a Christian orphanage run by an American couple. The only contact we've had with them has been through email. I guess we'll see how it is when we are down there but it seems like a very well run, organized facility. ...

Day 2 took us around Lake Superior, with an unexpected stop to check out the Ouimet Canyon. We had our doubts that the canyon would be worth the detour off the highway, but it delivered and was quite the sight. Unfortunately we were pressed for time if we wanted to make it to Thunder Bay to settle in for the night, so we weren't able to do much hiking at the canyon.
