The rains pushed us into Marshfield late in the day. We escaped for a brief time at Olanna's cafe in Springfield. We had a second breakfast that carried us down the road. Lovely day, rode from St. Clair to Lebanon.....boiling hot (100 degrees ), felt like in fan assisted oven. Sunday, Oct. 5th, shoved off from St. Louis for a stressful drive to the Lake of the Ozarks. First the busy 4 laners with the tractor trailers and then the most winding roads ever and absolutely not a single amount of a shoulder anywhere!
