    ... in today. After an hour lunch there, we pressed on in the heat, leaving by 4:30pm. It was hot enough to give me a headache. Luckily, thunder clouds started rumbling.     ... time we got to town, we saw that CubanB was already within 400 yards of the cafe. We all had lunch together, of-course, as usual eating as much as possible. The rest of the day we spent away from the sun and in the shade. It was very hot in Seiad Valley (elevation 1500ft), up to 103 degrees. Next to cafe are some shaded benches.     ... it, only a few curious hikers. We did recognize a few names. Of-course we signed it. Continuing on, we climbed up to Paradise Lake to have lunch there. We found JenRaffe here and had lunch with her here for about 1.5 hours. After lunch, the trail climbed steeply again before down climbing 4000 feet to the next campsite with water.     ... being a daddy! We also got to see Mark’s parents, Ward and Sandra Hinckley, who are there visiting Scott and Amy this weekend. After talking a while, we all went to the Red Robin for lunch.
