    ... przyjecia weselnego, które miało trwać 4 dni. Jakoże nasi szefowie kuchni wrócili już do domu ze swomi dziećmi, ja i Konstancja przejęłyśmy dowodzenie nad gotowaniem dla 180 ludzi. John miał za zadanie przewieźć jedzenie z kuchni na sale (oddaloną około 5 min jazdy autem pod górkę). Ładował jedzenie na tył samochodu i jadąc 1/2 mili na godzinę modlił ...

    ... my duties also include pest control and in a single night was called out to the girls area to deal with a snake, mouse and a horrible bat that wedged itself inbetween the shutters of G1 cabin. The only weapon I could find was a bucket and a stick which resulted in the snake escaping from the cabin, the mouse hiding in a mattress and the bat eating the stick. Not the most successful hunting in the end...
    Work at camp can be tiring so we were glad of a day ...

    ... picnic lunch. It was so nice with no flies or mozzies. Very few people so definitely no noisy radios like yesterday. Idyllic in fact!
    There was a small military museum but we gave it a miss.
    As we were driving along, I saw a sign to a waterfall, and wanted to investigate. Great name Taughannock Falls. Almost as good as some names in NZ eh! I really like the rock colours round it.

    ... a flight to Madrid, 5 hours waiting time at Madrid airport, a flight to JFK New York City airport where we spent another night on an even harder floor next to a weird man who was following us, sniffing John's feet (when he was sleeping) and shouting something which kept waking us up pretty much every 15 minutes; a train journey to New York City, a bus journey to Scranton and a car journey to Camp Ballibay, we finally got there! Being extremely tired ...
