... there by lunchtime so all afternoon fossicking. Well where time went, who the hell knows but by the time we arrived there it was 3.30 and just the day they decide to close at 5.00 instead of 10 pm! So like chooks in the paddock, we scratch around for an hour in the dirt and then head back to Hope for accommodation - an hour away! We'll come back in the morning and Jude can scratch in the dirt, I will try ...

Super 8 was nice enough to put our room next to the side door of the hotel, Toby loved it. I had the A/C fan on, the bathroom fan on, and the TV up wicked loud!

Well, enough about all that... some towns I've passed along away:

          Walnut, Mississippi
          Friendship, Arkansas ...

... the Post Castle, about which I knew nothing, but which turns out to be the folly of a guy with too much money. He and his wife set about building it in 1969, copying various features of castles they saw on a trip to Europe. They got divorced, however, not many years later, and the castle was never finished. After a lengthy period of time during which the castle was an oddity attracting passersby for photo ops, the castle ...
