We stopped at the huge US Air Force Base on the outskirts of Grand Forks ND. On weekends, visitors are not allowed entry, but we toured the display of aircraft in the garden at the main gate. A rare treat to get up close to some of these famous aircraft.

I got picked up by some Indians who put me in the back seat and did not speak to me. I had a really bad feeling about it which worsened when one of them pulled out a black ski mask. ... of motorhomes - hot, dusty, noisy, upsetting - serene countryside being turned upside down. Triple Hs - hot, hungry and hassled!
Found a nice campground almost on the border - and did a bikeride before we headed out today. Tonight we connect with friend Gretchen in Voyageur National Park.
