    To get to the U.S. at Sault Ste. Marie you have to take the International bridge over the St. Marie river which is where Lake Superior dumps into Lake Huron. The Canadian Shield has been replaced by a bit of farmland, but the trees are still plentiful, I even saw a maple syrup farm. It's all about the bridges today!     ... so we went back to enjoy sitting outside - after putting on more clothes- until about 10:00 when it finally got dark!
