... our usual foot tour of downtown Mobile, scouting out restaurants and a place to buy limes. Two hours and many foot blisters later we came up lime-free. Not a single food store within a 2.5 mile radius of downtown. Though Mobile was very pretty and the people incredibly friendly, it appeared to be still somewhat economically struggling after the 2005 hurricane Katrina damage and exodus. ... my eye! I promise to keep you posted. One of the most interesting things along these particular trails is deer moss -- we've never seen it or heard of it. What a fun-filled day yesterday! We spent the whole day at the National Naval Aviation Museum, the world's largest naval aviation museum, at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. There are over 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviation. These aircraft are displayed both in the museum's 350,000 square feet inside exhibit space ...

... place. All pull-thrus are lengthy and spacious. This is our third time here. Great owners...always improving the place.

Took Nattie out for a spell and then a nap.

We head west to Bellingrath Gardens tomorrow so that'll be a colorful entry for you to view.

... now staying. It's a small world! Today we drove into Destin to Home Depot for a water regulator gauge and a grill propane hose -- not especially fun, but necessary. Then on to Henderson Beach State Park to walk on the beautiful white sand beach -- got our 10,000 steps in and enjoyed every minute of it. Gulf beaches are probably the most beautiful in the world -- or at least we think ...
