Packing for the Trip
Here’s the plan. We each get 1 checked bag, 1 carry-on bag, and 1 personal item. I checked with the airline on this. So, that gives us 4 of each, if we want them. Now, I can’t see Bryn carrying both a personal item and a carry-on bag (in fact, I have my doubts about Sage transporting both items). Anunderrated President and a fabulous museum
... railroad museum.
After a quick lunch in the camper, we drove another hundred miles or so, this time getting off the interstate at Abilene, where we'd noticed several attractions that might interest us. Since it was getting late in the day, we chose the Eisenhower museum and library to explore. Definitely worth the hour + that we spent there and more.
Next stop is just outside Kansas City for a visit with cousins we just met last summer.

Homeward Bound - looking for Dorothy and Toto
... We see signs for lots of interesting sights including the "Oz" museum and other western points of interest such as Fort Leavenworth from where Custer departed to the fateful battle at Little Big Horn, Pres. Eisenhower and Amelia Earhart's birth places. Another early start tomorrow - keeping an ear to the forecast for the "frankenstorm" on the East coast.

The Last State
... when I returned fifty minutes later, the bike was complete and ready to go. Excellent service and about half the price of what I pay in Ottawa!
Next the celebration began as I finally achieved the crossing of the forty ninth state line into Kansas. This completes a sixteen year hobby of visiting all 49 mainland US states on a motorcycle.
