    Lake day

Up at dawn, coffee on the porch with the parents while Wife and baby sleep.
Helped dad get more styrofoam under the dock, he always seems to be finding more pieces to help it float better. A bit of a swim while Caroline fed the baby. Ride on the pontoon was greatly enjoyed by Abcde, she was just a giggling and smiling as long as the boat was in motion.

Today we were supposed to be at home getting recovering from our trip, you know the drill, laundry, clean the litter box, get some food back in the fridge that we did our best to empty before we left, etc., etc. Instead we went to the lake! I was up at 6:30 and my parents followed me to the deck about 10-15 minutes later. They brewed a pot of coffee and that was a wonderful way to start the day. The Travel Ball got broken in. As we take our trip around the world, we're taking the world's beautiful game with us! The challenge: to get at least 50 juggle touches on the ball without it touching the ground. Where will it be next? The top of Lookout Mountain? St. Peter's square? On a train? The travel ball gets marked with the location and the signature of anyone besides the Miller boys who participated. Let the games begin!

Regardless, I never felt any overwhelming pressure to fit into the religious standards of those around me as I was growing up, and possibly because I wasn't influenced by formal religion I grew contemptuous of the religious system in the United States, and followed a more loosely spiritual path than most of my peers.

... thro the city - 70MPH - changes to 55 - 2:10 - a snap and very interesting. Huge variety of architecture in this big City. Overall, it's a tired looking place but it's a great diversion to straight highway driving. Cross the huge Ohio River throughout the City. In the middle of the City you cross into another State - Kentucky. That must be a bit of a nightmare at times. 3:20 - Lexington - "Heart of Horse Country". Man-O-War is buried here - he ...
