Somehow, I found the Travel Insider web site and the package featured several things that sounded appealing - discounts, add-ons, a great itinerary, and a cruise company that we had used before & enjoyed very much. I also spoke to the "host" - the Travel Insider himself - and found him to be pleasant, well-informed, and enthusiastic about the trip.

An auspicious start, I thought.

We left Portsmouth about 8 am and had a pleasant drive, crossing Chesapeake Bay via the tunnel/bridge to the Eastern shore of Virginia, continuing up the Eastern shore of Maryland and into Delaware to Lewes where we boarded the Cape May Ferry. We arrived at the park on Tuesday after driving only 170 miles and paying $ 16.00 in tolls. We drove over the Walt Whitman Bridge rather than the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philly.We usually stop but because there was no traffic in Philly we just kept driving and we missed the rush hour traffic.

... br>We headed into Trump Plaza and visited the casino - then headed out onto the boardwalk in the misting rain - into a wild west casino and then back to the boardwalk, bought some salt water taffy and a chocolate/peanut butter pretzel!! Then we had massages and at 12:30 headed back to Philly. Got home around 2:30!!

... thinking she'd order from 1 of them. Well, so my dad comes home with the pizza and its from this weird place that no one has ever heard of! We were mad because we gave my mom ideas and she didn't listen. So of course the pizza looks like ****:( so I spoke up and say that i don't want to eat that. So my parents, as usual flip out at me. So I try a piece the sauce had a spicy taste so i get to the crust and it solid!! So i threw it away ...

... of its screw up we got to spend more time in the scenic Jersey by the Delaware yeah right.  We get to pay again to leave Jersey.  Any way the pictures tell the story.  The cool thing was we crossed many states in a small distance.  We touched Philly, Delaware and Maryland before we got to beautiful Virginia.  It definitely gets my vote for the most beautiful state East of the Mississippi.  I-81 south on the way to Black Mountain ranks as the most scenic interstate.

... not lucky in Atlantic City, I won in the slot machine but I lost almost all my winnings. The next day, Bubbles and I decided to stay with Jocelyn and Phil and spent the day shopping at the nearby shopping outlet at Atlantic City. It was very cold until we left NY. It was a short vacation, Felix still missed to see the places he wanted to see like the Statue of Liberty...but anyway there is always next time .

... I have stepped into an episode of 'Welcome Back Kotter', although we ain't in the Bronx. The NY subway is as you imagine it. Colorful and gritty to say the least. Look out for the rats, and the genuinely whacky people who are clearly not rowing with both oars in the water at once. Now we are Downtown near Lower Manhattan. Slightly upper than Lower Manhattan, but slightly lower than Midtown. Definitely not Uptown. Get the picture? Between Chinatown and Little Italy. Thursday ...
