... the town of Radiator Springs. In both Missouri and Kansas there is evidence of financial struggles for businesses, with many closed, including the famous Soda Fountain in Baxter Springs, which is now some sort of tertiary learning centre. This was a real disappointment as inside you could see the place completely decked out as it would have been in the days when this sort of place would have been the social hub of the town. It ...

... we saw the world tallest totem pole, plus several other cool American Indian inspired sculptures. Here is where we had a great lunch of pizza and parmesan salad, sitting outside under our awning, using our outside table and chairs for the first time. From Connecticut, he recently graduated with his MBA, and quite simply, he's fantastic. He's generous, big-and-kind hearted, embracing... I could go on and on and on about him. Anthony and I were on the same build site today. Bill, our building supervisor, put us to work and it was a good, long day. ...

... 28mph and each of us taking turns leading the pack. I was keeping back and learning how this was going to play out, as well as panting for dear life trying to fathom how I was going to do this for 40mi. Once I did finally go up to the front, it was on a hill and a truck went by and hit a dead raccoon, guts squirting onto me. What can I say, I like to provide entertainment for my fellow pace mates. I must say, although funny, it ...
