... but they said NO! A stop for some shopping and back to his place for the rest of the day. Did some more at his house, watched some movies and off to bed. ... video of polar bears and appreciated all the scenic views. The story line wasn't as good as many of the Imax's we've seen but it was ok. Seeing the precious polar bear cubs made the movie worthwhile.

time to get out and about we thought so looked up time tables for buses to tempe and surrounding areas..

worked out our plan and set off, however when we were chatting to the trolley driver, who are always so friendly, we discovered we could get to tempe on a free bus that meets our scottsdale free trolley, on mckellips road ... we got off and after waiting a few minutes noticed a map ...

It ended up being a great end to the day because, not only was the air conditioning in our large room real cool, but there was also a sports bar and grill over the road. It looked closed from the outside, once you opened the mirror glass front door, you walked in to a cosy (albeit nearly empty) large bar with TV screens and tables and stools and beer - a locals place.
