I've certainly stayed in much nicer hotels but needing two rooms for just a night while in the road meant this was just fine. No frills but the price matches.

Originally I was not going to blog tonight since I figured nothing would really happen today, but......
We departed rainy Sikeston this morning about 10. It had started to rain about 6 and was just sort of sprinkling when I got up. By the time we got close to "breaking camp" it was sprinkling harder, but by the time we were ready to pull out, it was pretty much stopped. So down the road we cruised. Bob had decided he wanted to top off the ...

CA - FL to AR, stopped by weather

The second Yellow Bird is on the way. With such great tailwinds, I didn't want to stop. A 15 knot push when headed northwest is fantastic. I took off at 6:20 (sorry Lyn, I hope I didn't wake you up) and gassed up in AL at 9:45. On the ground less than 25 minutes and back in the air.

Three hours and twenty minutes later I'm in AR, just east of Little Rock, in Carlisle, 4M3. The weather doesn't look good ahead. There has been a line of ...

we then soon came across an old shed with a few O' timers hanging out.
These guys had a book for all the ...

... telling us to get off roads immediately, it messes with your head. At least mine anyways. Taylor got me through that mental block by encouraging me. Amazing how hard your body can work while your mind is trying to work both against you and with you at same time. Held back the tears because at that point I knew sharknado would swallow me whole if I stopped. We tore past many other riders and continued on, even losing beloved bears flip flop on the way. 15 of us did manage to get ...
