    Monday 3/10/14. Up & on the road at 9am. To Iowa somewhere? we called it a day when we got yo Clive(?huh?) Iowa. at LQ about 530 pm - every joint is killing me! they have an indoor pool! yeah! went into warm water &'jumped around & feel so much better!     Today, Tuesday, was another driving day- eastward to Salina, then south on I-135 which became I-35 and will eventually pass within a mile or so of my son Guido's house in Lewisville, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.     We left La Junta, Colorado today at 8:30am. Not a very nice town. Very run down. But it was right off the highway 50. It was a gorgeous morning.     What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness? (Rousseau)

    We began the day at the little sad Country Inn in Caldwell. This is the first day in eight or more days that we are able to wear shorts. Winds out of the south, but bearable. We headed East towards Arkansas City. Ark City to the locals. The Kansas roads were smooth and great to ride on. Minimal shoulder, but courteous traffic.
