After the running on Saturday, we were ready to just crash for the night and besides, we didn't know where to go to see the fireworks. We thought maybe we would be able to see at least some from the hotel. About 9 pm they started, but we couldn't see them. Kept hearing them and when I looked back out at 9:30 they were everywhere! By the time 10 o'clock came, we were watching 6-7 sets of fireworks ...

Back to Highlands State park for the walk we didn't get to take yesterday - the burial mound at the end of the trail was not nearly as impressive as the one at Campbell Park, but it was still a nice walk...and no snakes today!!
