Not too many miles on the car today, only 28. But I put quite a few on my feet.
I got off to a fairly early start this morning and drove down to Santa Fe, N.M. I had to make a side trip to have my car serviced. I have put a lot of miles on it. Then I drove to the motel I had reservations for tonight. It was too early to check in but they said I could leave the car. There is a bus stop right in front and it went right downtown. No fuss, no muss with traffic or parking.

... 7,857 miles(that's 224 gallons of gas @ $582.40). All that and I'm proud to say I've never worn a pair of underwear more than one day.Very homesick, can almost smell the ocean. As you can tell from the pictures, nothing really going on now. We're serious about getting home. Wouldn't trade a minute of it but I'm never driving again. Linda's going to drive me like Miss Daisy for thr rest of my life.
Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States lindasgibbonsWe couldn't leave the Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn quick enough in the morning! We had both hardly slept and I was still under the weather, but we were looking forward to getting in the car and driving across the border to New Mexico and down to Santa Fe. The drive was as spectacular as ever (for us anyway!), and the golden autumn colours were dazzling. The drive took around 3 hours down the 285 and we arrived at our motel mid-afternoon. The motel, a traditional Puebloan adobe ...

Now you can stay in the heart of Santa Fe, shop at the market for fresh food, and prepare your own meal if you stay at a short term rental unit like the units that are available at El Corazon De Santa Fe for example. Whether your interest is the opera, arts, good food or simply the great outdoors, a visit to Santa Fe is one you will not regret.

To our surprise, the community was holding its annual Renaissance Fair. We were treated to crowds of people dressed in Renaissance clothing interacting with folks dressed as early settlers. As you can ...

The town is hilarious there are aliens everywhere, they are outside shops, on the top of lamposts and there is even a Walmart alien. Side note, Jemma had one of her best ever sandwiches. It was a Chicken, avocado, bacon and secret sauce sandwich. It was also here that Jemma decided it was time for me to get a hair ...

We will be going into town tonight for dinner and to check out the cultural aspects of the area. The city is rich in art history, and happens to be the oldest capitol in the United States.
Heatin' Things Up In Santa Fe, NM!
This morning we woke to about 3 inches of snow on the ground and not a parking spot to be found in the parking lot! Today being Easter (Happy Easter everyone!) we were in the midst of the most popular place in Santa Fe - as hoards of people parked here and made their way to the Cathedral for Easter Mass. Dan wandered to get coffee this morning and poked his head into the Basillica and was told to remove his hat for Mass where there was an Archbishop presiding ...
Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States smcclintock... be in Buenos Aires for at least 3 months, so the first order of business is to find somewhere to live for that long. Then it will be to work or volunteer somewhere. I also want Spanish classes and some dancing. Beyond that I really want to just explore, I plan to put myself out there each day, and to explore something different everyday. It took me a long time to save up the money for this trip, and I still don't have nearly enough.
