Panama City, Florida, United States pamericasBeautiful beaches.

Too bad they are flanked by zealots and bikers. Been a long time since I had seen such racism co-existing with constant praise to the almighty (I know, usually go hand-in-hand).

If you are looking for a confederate flag boogie board, they have plenty to choose from.

White sand, clear aqua water...and lots of country families compliments of Alabama. Panama City Beach, Florida, United States lexicon.... had only brought my blender or food processor for making hummus ..... The water has receded quickly - one of the benefits of being on sand. We hope to be on the road early tomorrow. We are not sure how many stops will entice us as we leave Florida, cross Alabama and enter Louisiana. We also foresee some longer days of travel when we get to Texas so are doing some advance planning.
Panama City, Florida, United States momadunc... windshield wipes at Advance Auto.We arrived at St. George Inn around 5 PM or so. The Inn is an old house. I had reserved the Windjammer "Suite"--it was actually a regular room, with a King bed. It was like staying at a relative's house, only you had to pay. The bed creaked and was uncomfortable; the toilet ran if you didn't jiggle the handle; the TV was very small and was up on a stand on the wall. But it was OK for one night. We took a walk on the ...
St. George Island, Florida, United States bdodsonSaturday, March 8th. We woke up this morning to a continuation of last nights rockin' and rollin' caused by the gusting 40 to 50 mph winds. Besides being rocked around, the sounds that the wind produced were similar to a movie soundtrack of a storm at sea. The motion, the sounds of the surf crashing and the palm fronds smacking against our roof made for a somewhat sleepless night. A couple of tornadoes had passed through the panhandle and we were ...
Panama City, Florida, United States jodieandandyThe Marriott Legends is on a golf course, NOT on the Gulf beach. From our condo to the fishing pier is a 10 minute walk. To the beach, a 10 minute drive. We've got the best of both worlds. This morning, it's out to the real beach so mom can "walk the sands." The girls are beaching it while Skip and Gary are ...
Panama City, Florida, United States kupdegraTo say my family lives for fishing is an understatement. Mom's father Lew Wright lived on the trout stream. When we were old enough to be "papoosed" on his back, we were out hiking and fishing. Not that we remember any of it at that age. Lew was well known in Western Pennsylvania for his fishing skills. He retired early from Alcoa ...
Panama City, Florida, United States kupdegra... it's better and it handles beautifully. It also has a slide-out, in the living/dining area (that the Dynasty didn't), which gives us quite a bit of extra 'living' area. However, it had a pull-out type sofa, that was not satisfactory for my use. So, the boys removed it and put it into PJ's house. Then I installed, in it's place, a twin bed with storage area underneath. I also added some ...
Vernon, Florida, United States chictravelers2... With the telephone technology of today, she was able to move the business from Maui to Florida. We got there just as she was setting up and getting everything going. It was actually fun for me because it almost felt like we were back on Maui. We were talking to the owners of activity companies, activity agents and tourists who were all on Maui and we were acting like we were, too. The 'farm' is only a few acres but it has two small ponds (where Terry could fish), a large shop ...
Vernon, Florida, United States chictravelers2... and the truck driver recovered enough for us not to really collide badly. The only damage was his side mirror banged ours, practically tearing it off and shattering the upper mirror (of the two mirrors in the bracket). By the time that we could pull over, he was gone and it would have been too much trouble to try to go after him (it's not easy to turn around with an 40" RV plus our Grand Cherokee Jeep SUV hitched behind)! Well, after the Perdido Key ...
