On Friday, all we could do is wait for the Fed Ex truck to come, so we didn't want to start any big projects because once it came, we were leaving, so it was kind of a relaxing day which was very weird before such a big trip. About 3:00 our Brake Buddy arrived, Fred attached it and we were on our way. Our plan was to stop and see Jess and Pete in NY on the way, but we got such a late start, we decided it would be ...

... discomfort is short lived, ha! Ha! Another item, the famous blood-stained flag that cushioned President Lincoln's head moments after his death is a cherished possession of the local historical society. ... we couldn't even keep each other entertained. The cheap round world flight was not really worth the couple of hundred dollars saved, though it had seemed so when we booked it 9 months ago! The immigration process was abysmal too. Of 18 'windows' available for non-US citizens, only 6 at the most were staffed, while there were constantly over 500 people in queues. It took well over an hour, only to be greeted by a grumpy officious man who only spoke mono-syllabically. Until he finally ...

A visit to Blue Stone Studio

We are still in Milford, Pennsylvania which, happily, is also the home of Blue Stone Studio where David and Joann Greenbaum display their gorgeous pottery and artwork. Some of David's pottery has been manipulated so artfully, that it's difficult to believe it is clay and not marble or glass. He doesn't apply any glazes, but instead uses multiple firings, oxidation and burnishing processes along with etching and throwing ...
