That's right... three nights in a row without internet!
The first, at Monticello, their internet had gone down. The next, it was so slow I couldn't even access e-mails. Last night I was on the road.
But I assure you I have some great things to tell you all about my visit to Walkill, particularly Patterson and, finally, Brooklyn.

... we were only an hour from NYC and in the countryside! The drive in wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be, and we stayed at The Wellington, which is at the top end of Broadway. We managed to catch the highlights of the city! We wandered through Central Park in the sunshine...really lovely. ... a bit cheesy but it was good cheese. Marco got a good lesson on taking care of things when he lost our camera. Thankfully, we found it after the tour.
Upon completing the tour we had a very nice drive though the Amish countryside. We passed several Amish buggies and even a cart pulling a large group of men with their cool Amish hats. The rolling hills and farmland was really beautiful.

So we get up at 0 dark 30 to get an early start only to find Wade has a low pressure warning on his tire. It started yesterday but clearly not a fluke. We decided it was off to Rusty Palmer to check it out. Sure enough, there is a nail. No fixing that so new tire and breakfast and 20 miles in the wrong direction. Oh well. At least they have sausage gravy and ...
