... zero clouds, so we got a great picture of the mountain. We had a chance to talk to a ranger at the observatory who added so much information about Mt. I was going to put my extra jacket or sweaters or some stuff back into the car but it whizzed past me and then I didn't see it again until I had made almost the entire circuit when they came back to look for me. ... We took a detour to explore Starbuck, Washington, but we couldn't find the coffee...

Next, we stopped in Walla Walla, WA. We loved it - well, I did because there was a wine tasting place every other store front. We actually didn't stop to buy any wine, but we enjoyed a delicious lunch there in Walla Walla. We had just missed the Sweet Onion Festival but still managed to buy Walla Walla sweet onions!
