On February 27, 2014, we said goodbye to our family and went to Pete and Dinie Twynstra's to catch our bus to Toronto. We drove bye our house on the way to the 401 and on the picture you can see what the weather looked like. It was quite a blizzard and 401 was closed due to accidents around Woodstock. We did finally get to Toronto, but not in time to make our flight. We were fortunate that all 26 of us could catch another flight to New York where we stayed in a hote overnight.

... having tons of fun. Had an amazing lunch at the hotel and we are now warming up on the chalet. My boys are doing a rubik's cube puzzle....the most difficult one we could find!!

Tonight we are walking to the Old Homestead restaurant for dinner and tomorrow we need to get up on time dog sledding starts at 9:30am sharp!!

Missing you all...two more sleeps at the Ice Hotel and then down to Malmo for the tournament!!

Well, a 4 am start and we're at the airport in London waiting for our flight! All is well, though I was selected for a random check! Yay me! I actually had a choice between pat down and full body scan - I'm kicking myself for not getting the body scan now! Next time... Anyway, next stop, ...

... almost non-existent as I drove up away from Lake Michigan. The roads were long and straight, cutting through the forest, with lots of road signs directing snowmobile traffic. Definitely a different part of the world.

Yesterday we spent in the company of Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes. One of these days I'll have to do a road trip around this lake, but that is a trip unto itself. The best I can manage on this trip is skirting along ...
