... then all the way through there were cheerleaders waving their pompoms and dancing or doing acrobatic moves. Peter told us that there is a tradition with the Syracuse team. When they come on court to start playing everyone stands up and claps. Then the tradition is that they stay standing and clapping until Syracuse scores their first basket. On Saturday evening we drove to Fayetteville to attend a concert by Peter and Karen. Peter is Jane's son. Jane lives next door to Frank and celebrated her 93rd birthday on Thursday! We had met Peter and Karen before, and had one of their CDs, but we had not heard them performing live. The hall was full of their family, friends and other fans. It was a great atmosphere and the music was fantastic.
