On stops along the way we saw various highway art, the Corn Palace, which last year was undergoing renovations and is now complete, and a little thirteen lined ground squirrel. The outside of the Corn Palace is decorated with parts of the corn plant.

... took Izzie over to the pool for a swim. Mom and Dad bought her a little inflatable so she enjoyed sitting in the water and splashing about. When we got back, Dave made an excellent dinner. Dave is quite a good cook. By the time dinner was over, Izzie was ready for bed so the kids headed back to the condo. About this time, the hockey game started. I love it when the stars align and the Black Hawks win.

It was Date Night for Lisa and Dave. So Sheila and I spent the night at the condo and the kids had Date Night and spent the night at the trailer. This was their first time in a long time to sleep in. Sheila and I always hear the horror stories about being up all night with a crying baby. Regardless, we took our chances. Sheila and I took Izzie for a walk around the condo area. We met the kids for breakfast at the Prairie Chicks. It was a pretty cool place that had games you could play while having breakfast. We played Apples and Apples. I've never played this game and although I won the most hands, I lost because I didn't realize the game went to seven. My bad!!

... a few minutes, it was Grandma that has the knack of laying Izzie down and putting her to sleep. So while Sheila took care of Izzie, I took a nap as well.
We finished the day with dinner at a local restaurant. Izzie is very close to walking on her own so it was fun walking with her in the restaurant.
