... find in Wyoming,through moderate rainforest areas to a rich farmland plain, with a large, swift-moving river defining each step of the way. It becomes easy to understand how the area was formed and settled by managing and manipulating the rivers. It was no surprise to see gold-related historical sites -- mines, ghost towns and the like -- as this area truly resembles gold boom or bust areas elsewhere.

We managed to book our ferry from Bellingham to Ketchikan as well as the Amtrak train to get us from Vancouver to Bellingham and had a quick look at the places we could go on Vancouver island. Feeling that we had done a good job for today we headed into downtown for a wander.

... in a glass bottom cabin where you could see the forest floor 1400feet below. It wasn't bad at all but for someone without a head for heights it could be a little unnerving. We made the most out of our day by taking one of the last chairlifts down from Blackcombe Mountain to Whistler Village where we had dinner and then the long evening drive back to Langley, south of Vancouver.
I head towards Chilliwack, and turn off towards Cultus lake - hoping against odds that there will be a campsite open... nope... cute place though... they have WATERSLIDES... I wolda gone, but it was raining.... pfft.... anyways a place just dow Sleepy Hollow Road called Switzler Creek has spots... but it is disgustingly dirty, and Im not paying to stay there, not to mention no one is in the office... so ...
