... We sat in a stall overlooking the chrome and red vinyl stools. Not only did the room look great, the food was pretty good too.

The next lucky strike was the sun occasionally broke through the fog when we went up into the mountains to view Mt Baker. When we awoke in the morning it was raining and it kept up when we started to drive through Sedro Woolly. This town had all its buildings in the main street burnt down early in the 1900’s ...

Just as I was mourning the departure of the trumpeter swans,
who taught me so much about the beauty and value of a one to one relationship,
God sent the furiously paddling little white ducks with dark heads. The
trumpeter swans appeared to me as bonded spirits. Always swimming two by two.

... performing is my happy place. This week we will transform 9 quiet and empty gymnasiums into energetic performance spaces. And all in a school district 4000 km away from home. Here is our schedule:

... war theatre. I can just imagine the advisor to Churchill telling everyone their big secret plan is to make massive boats out of ice. Operation Habukkuk, should you want to look that up.

The next day, we packed everything up and after a short while were back in God's province and our next stop was home.

Bye bye beloved car and planning

... into the next few places were going. We managed to book our ferry from Bellingham to Ketchikan as well as the Amtrak train to get us from Vancouver to Bellingham and had a quick look at the places we could go on Vancouver island. Feeling that we had done a good job for today we headed into downtown for a wander.

After walking around for a while we found a cute diner which we thought would be a good stop for lunch. Being brave we tried Poutine ...
