      ... where she's lived her whole life. Apparently the town closed their school and the kids now have to go to the next town over, Aiken, MN. This is horrible because the Aiken kids call the Palisade kids "Stump Jumpers" and "Palisade Hicks". I've never heard of a "stump jumper" before, but she assured me it was not nice.       After bragging about out marvelous weather a huge storm system hit us around 7am. At 9am I decided to stay an extra night because of the storm.       ... the tarmac road then almost immediately turn back onto the dirt road again! This time I took a corner a little too fast and the washboads were bouncing me off the road! With a little patience I got to the apex of the corner then gunned it! and came out OK. The final 25 kms of the journey was via 4 lane highway sigh... Checked into the motel then next door for Mexican food. My lips have stopped burning now from that almost raw Jalapeno peppers - Yum!
