stooped at Eugene for new tyres and filters etc
headed for the Crater lakes and found ourselves passing a store and garage that we visited while on the TAT about a weak earlier when the nice American girl curtsied to us.

... names of everything we saw. But everywhere we went, everything we saw was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We were gleeful each time a waved crashed on the rocks and sprayed high into the air. We spent long periods of time staring out into the ocean hoping to see a whale, but nothing yet. (It's past the migration, but we've heard that there are some local whales we might see.)

Our last stop before heading to the next campground was the Oregon Sand Dunes. ...

... and in one case ran around inspecting the tasting room. (We were the only tasters). This was the Becker Winery. Peggy Becker was there to pour us wine, serve us snacks and chat about their ten year quest - creating this winery from nothing. The wine was good and we bought a case. ... the countryside this afternoon, and I looked round me thinking gee we've sure covered some miles in 2 weeks.
Different names of towns like Coquille with a river the same name. But the river that has taken our eye is the Umpqua. It seems to be a very long one.
Tomorrow we head down a bit further to a town called Central Point near Medford. There are a few sights we've earmarked to check out.

... crispy and bready. We both had maple bacon but they do a range of sweet as well. They were delicious and the eccentric staff certainly added to the food. On the way back we looked in at Nordstrom Rack, where they send end-of-line and last-season’s stock. There were a lot of fabulous shoes and clothes at great prices.
