So today has been a long day. I spent my last few hours with my favourite Kirsten before catching the ferry back to Tsawwassenn. I've packed all my belongings ready for a month in California. Right now, we're both writing blogs, to try and keep everyone up to date as we haven't written any since Seattle!! Hoping for a good nights sleep tonight and a relaxing morning. Anyway, I think this blog might be a bit too long, so hope you all managed to stay awake! Thanks for reading :) We'll be back soon!

Having missed the bus, we walked down to the beach and along the shoreline, taking photos as we went, missing the famous statue of the surfing Duke, then heading inland, following a tourist sign towards the crater. A lady taxi driver offered us a lift to the crater for $3 each, a very good deal, in retrospect, but ...

... and stocked up (as if I ever need an excuse to shop) and we just found Jim a great small crossbody bag for the trip, so I won't have to be the pack horse for most things. I've started to put our electronics, adapters and cables together to make sure we don't need to pick anything else up. Were you wondering why my user name is neat freak? ...
