Tom drove us to the airport in the early morning, after a quick hug from Chelsea and Benny. The latter had the grace to cry just a little as he was taken from my arms, and the next time we see him he'll be a little boy who we’ll have to get to know all over again! Such is life. As we gather together for circle time it has become increasingly apparent that we are becoming a family--yes, as brothers and sisters in Christ, but also as a group of people who love each other deeply--like a family. As stories are shared and ...

I tossed & turned last night. I was awake off and on most of the night – excitement, worry, and sadness over knowing tomorrow we would be leaving my baby – Simon – the world's most spoiled Yorkie – for 19 nights. What will he do without us?? After yet another last minute stop at Wal-Mart (I have a love-hate relationship with Wal-Mart), a trip to the bank and the post office, lots ...
